About Café Rialto

No Reservation needed for Café Rialto, a coffee and tea bar with Parisian vibes. This is the newest addition to the historic Rialto Theatre at 1617 N. Franklin St. in Tampa Heights.

Café Rialto sits alongside its sister concept, Tea at The Rialto, a reservation-only tearoom serving English Afternoon Tea, and the Rialto Theatre event space.

Together these concepts are reimagining the 101-year-old building as a multifaceted destination where guests can grab a coffee, enjoy a pastry, or dress up for afternoon tea all in one visit.

Café Rialto is a coffee shop in Tampa, Florida. It is listed at 1617 N Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602, which places it among the local businesses of Tampa that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7:30 am–3 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (813) 807-2411. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, rialtotampa.com.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 47 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded coffee shops in Tampa.

Tampa is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Tampa is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My mom and I booked this spur of the moment curated experience. It was such a great midday (and mid-week) activity that didn’t involve drinking alcohol. Simply 2 girls having delicious tea and accoutrements in a beautiful establishment with great service. They told us they have different teas daily and change up their menu each month. We filled up on varying little sandwiches and scones and took our sweet treats home. Our tea cups were never empty. I’ll be returning and recommending!

Was so excited to try this place, the decorations are beautiful, and it really does feel like you’re walking into some sort of different continent. Gave the atmosphere five stars cause I can tell they really put in a lot of effort. Sadly, there was no food and the pastries were extremely dry and not appetizing at all. When I walked in, I had a big smile on my face and I said good morning and this girl looked at me up and down incredibly rude so she really set the tone for the rest of the time I was there. Left hungry and had to make reservations to a different restaurant. Will or be returning.

A stunning new addition to the neighborhood! This coffee shop is absolutely beautiful and incredibly elegant. The interior design creates a refined, yet welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for catching up with friends or having a quiet morning. Most importantly, the coffee is excellent – rich, smooth, and clearly crafted with high-quality beans. Highly recommend!

Four of us went here for a birthday tea. It was absolutely beautiful ownership did a great job with the decor. The Sterling silver tea sets are absolutely timeless pieces really great value if you do not like the tea of the day, they will change it out until you are happy one footnote your entire party must be present to be seated so if you’re thinking of getting there early to set up a table or be the first to arrive you’ll be asked to hang aside and they’re adorable retail shop until your entire party is ready to be seated. The chicken salad was our favorite so delicious followed by the flavored scone would definitely recommend the staff is super sweet. They have an adorable gift shop and the setting is perfect. It’s an hour and a half to two hour experience depending on your group.

First time in here! Rare you come to a place where both the coffee and atmosphere are so elevated. Have been to a lot of coffee places in Tampa and this might be the best. Specialty Coffee at the level of Kubana kafe, Casa Azul maybe even more elevated. All in one of the coolest most historic buildings In all of Tampa. Staff was also extremely kind! A new staple for sure
